Since 2011, FUTURE FABRICS EXPO, has become the largest dedicated showcase of innovative and sustainable material solutions for the fashion industry, with over 5800 materials exhibited to professionals around the world every year.

FFE was founded by The Sustainable Angle -  which was established as a not-for-profit organisation in Switzerland in 2010 with the aim of initiating and supporting projects that lower the environmental impact of industry and society. The fashion and textile industries are amongst the world’s most polluting, and as such, became the main focus of our work. The Future Fabrics Expo was initiated by TSA in order to effect positive change within the industry by connecting and promoting innovators and suppliers of sustainable materials with fashion brands and other sectors relying on textiles. In order to achieve this, we established a set of criteria, and researching innovative sustainable materials that meet them became our main task. We contextualise this activity with the provision of much needed educational information, specially curated areas and a seminar series.

ABOUT

The Sustainable Angle receives funding via grants from foundations and donations supporting FFE and its educational content and activities which underpins the meaningful change we want to drive the industry towards. Without the aforementioned contributions that support The Sustainable Angle, we could not provide the research that forms the backbone of knowledge to inform this critical change.

As the Future Fabrics Expo evolved and grew bigger over the years, FFE was set up as a UK entity in 2018 with TSA supporting and funding the educational content at FFE.

  • "This is the third year that we will exhibit at the Future Fabrics Expo. For us, it is the most valuable event that we go to in the year - there are so many great brands to meet!"

    Rosie Mills, Fairly Made

  • "I’ve been coming to the Future Fabrics Expo for years, and this is where I see the innovations first before anywhere else. "

    Francois-Ghislain Morillion, Co-Founder, VEJA

  • "In a world of monotony and slim pickings, the Future Fabrics Expo has put together a curated collection of extraordinary textiles and fibres. There is so much innovation and newness, it makes you want to jump out of your skin and get it right away. The surfaces and colours have an incredible effect on the audience and the amount of enthusiasm is palpable. You would have to travel to the end of the earth and back to find even one or two of some of the extraordinary textiles that are on display at FFE."
